Watermelon Crochet, a clothing business based in Tenerife, Spain, needed a new website to showcase their products and reach a wider audience. The project presented several key challenges:
- Minimalist Design Requirements: The client specifically requested a minimalist design aesthetic, requiring careful consideration of layout, imagery, and overall user interface to effectively showcase the clothing without clutter. This required a strong focus on visual hierarchy and clean design principles.
- Multilingual Functionality: The website needed to support three languages: Spanish, English, and Italian. Implementing multilingual functionality effectively required careful planning of content management, translation workflows, and user interface considerations to ensure a seamless experience for all users.
- Compliance with EU and Spanish Privacy Laws: The website needed to fully comply with European and Spanish digital privacy laws, including regulations related to cookies, data storage, and user consent. This required a thorough understanding of GDPR and Spanish data protection regulations, and careful implementation of necessary technical and legal measures.
Solution
To address these challenges, I implemented the following solutions:
