Challenge

Spiritual Quest’s website was experiencing several issues that negatively impacted user experience, conversion rates, and overall site performance:

  • Critical Elementor Saving Issue: The website’s main page, built with Elementor, was experiencing a critical issue where changes could not be saved. This effectively prevented the client from updating their homepage content, severely limiting their ability to manage their online presence and promote new products or offers.
  • Checkout and Shipping Errors: The checkout process was plagued by several critical bugs. These included warranties being incorrectly applied to multiple products, shipping costs being miscalculated on grouped packages (resulting in overcharges), and users being required to enter their address before seeing shipping costs on flat-rate items, creating a frustrating experience and potential cart abandonment.
  • Performance Bottlenecks: The site suffered from performance issues, particularly with Elementor page loading times (separate from the saving issue). Slow loading speeds negatively impacted user engagement and SEO rankings.
  • SEO and Tracking Deficiencies: The site’s SEO implementation was lacking, and there were errors related to Google Tags, hindering accurate tracking and potentially impacting search visibility. This made it difficult to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize the site for search engines.

Solution

To address these challenges, I implemented the following solutions:

  • Resolution of Critical Elementor Saving Issue: I diagnosed and resolved the critical issue preventing Elementor page saves. This involved identifying the root cause of the problem (likely a conflict or configuration issue) and implementing the necessary fix, restoring the client’s ability to update their homepage.
  • Custom Checkout and Shipping Code: I developed custom code to resolve the critical checkout and shipping bugs. This included implementing logic to correctly apply warranties, accurately calculate shipping costs for grouped packages, and display flat-rate shipping costs upfront, improving the overall checkout experience and preventing overcharges.
  • Elementor Performance Optimization: I optimized the site’s Elementor implementation to improve page loading speeds. This involved identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, resulting in faster loading times and an improved user experience.
  • SEO and Google Tag Improvements: I implemented SEO improvements and fixed errors related to Google Tags. This included optimizing meta tags, improving site structure, and ensuring accurate tracking of website traffic and conversions.

Result

The implemented solutions have yielded significant positive results for Spiritual Quest:

  • Restored Homepage Management: By resolving the critical Elementor saving issue, I restored the client’s ability to manage and update their homepage content. This immediately allowed them to promote new products, update information, and maintain a current online presence.
  • Improved Conversion Rates: By streamlining the checkout process and eliminating shipping errors, the site experienced a noticeable improvement in conversion rates. This directly translated to increased sales and revenue for Spiritual Quest.
  • Enhanced User Experience: A smoother checkout process significantly enhanced the user experience. This resulted in increased user engagement and reduced bounce rates.
  • Improved SEO and Tracking: The SEO and Google Tag improvements provided better visibility in search engine results and more accurate tracking of website data. This enabled Spiritual Quest to better understand their audience and optimize their marketing efforts.
